Sterling Silver and Simbircite Bolo Tie
Simbircite comes only from the Simbirsk region of Russia. One can google the stone and discover its rich history. Ric has several pieces of Simbircite. This particular piece is laced with pyrite. The head of this piece has been borrowed from a petroglyph on the West Mesa in Albuquerque, NM. The rest was dictated by the stone. This one could be the god of Simbircite. Ric likes to call him Ralph. Ralph is widest at his feet, which from toe to toe are 74mm/2.875 inches wide. He is approximately 122mm/4.8125 inches long. Ralph is suspended from a leather bolo cord that is about 49cm/19.25 inches long. The setting is all sterling silver with a fine silver bezel.
